Pori Jazz 2013

Pori Jazz 2013 is successfully over. The festival held over 60 concerts of which 24 were admission free. The festival atmosphere was excellent and all the concert sets worked well. Already for the ninth time held Pori Jazz Kids Festival offered altogether 70 concerts and music workshops. The 5-day-long family event gathered some 29 000 visitors. Access to all concerts and workshops was free.
Pori Jazz 2012

47th Pori Jazz festival has ended. During 9 days there were 87 concerts, 52 of which free. The atmosphere of the festival was good and the concerts and concepts worked out well. Pori Jazz sold 48 000 tickets. Altogether 140 000 people visited the concerts. About 100 bands and over 600 musicians conquered the 13 venues of the festival. The new venue Cotton Salsa Factory was a success and a required add-on to the festival.
Jazzkaar Festival 2009

This year the Tallinn International Festival Jazzkaar celebrates its 20th birthday. From April 18th to 26th musicians from 17 countries will perform 32 concerts in Tallinn. In addition concerts will take place in Tartu, Pärnu, Viljandi, Otepää etc. Jazz festivals in Tallinn started already in 1949 and were organised until 1967. The founding of Jazzkaar in 1990 could be called the re-birth of festivals in Tallinn.
Dubai International Jazz Festival

Chillout Productions reveals the dates for the 7th edition of the Skywards Dubai International Jazz Festival 2009. The festival is set to kick off on Wednesday February 18th, 2009 and tie up on the 27th of the same month. The 10 days festival is to feature great names in the world of music ranging between blues, Jazz, rock and pop with an approximate total of 30 acts.
Canned Heat and Afrobeat on Sziget

It is already known that on Day Zero of the Sziget Festival, Iron Maiden are to perform with openers Lauren Harris (daughter of the Maiden bassist) and her band. On the five proper days of the festival, the headliners include R.E.M. and The Sex Pistols, earlier zones will present Kaiser Chiefs and Roisin Murphy.
North Sea Jazz Festival 2008

North Sea Jazz is known all over the world because of the many musical genres it has to offer, ranging from traditional New Orleans jazz, swing, bop, free jazz, fusion, avant-garde jazz and electronic jazz; to blues, gospel, funk, soul, R&B, hip hop, world beat and Latin. All of which are presented during a single weekend: 11, 12 and 13 July 2008.
2007 JVC Jazz Festival — Newport

George Wein and The Festival Network announced today that this year’s JVC Jazz Festival-Newport will begin at 8:00 pm on Friday, August 10 at the International Tennis Hall of Fame with a unique program entitled, Newport ’57 Revisited: The Legacy of Ella, Billie & Basie. Performing on Centre Court will be Dianne Reeves and her band and The Count Basie Orchestra with Special Guest Nnenna Freelon.
Sziget 2007

Sziget Festival is celebrating its 15th anniversary with its best ever line-up and a concert from Hungary's LGT on the eve of the festival. True to Sziget tradition, there are loads of other things beside music... Theatre, dance, classical music, cabaret, performances, films, fine art, crafts, literary presentations, programs for kids, sports and other free time activities -- basically everything that makes Sziget a unique event in the firmament of international festivals. The 15th anniversary event takes place between August 7 and 15 (including 'day zero').
