Yukihiro Fukutomi began his career as a DJ and programmer in the late 1980s, releasing his first album Love Vibes in 1991. He has since worked as a producer, remixer, and programmer for various Japanese artists, including Tokyo No.1 Soul Set, Double, and Miki Imai. He has also collaborated with international artists like Jazzanova and London Elektricity. Fukutomi's productions have been featured in commercials for Shiseido, Suntory, and Sony.
As a solo artist, he has released 11 albums on labels such as ALFA and AVEX, gaining recognition in the international Jazz scene. Since 1999, he has released music in multiple countries including the USA, UK, and France.
In 2007, he launched the club-oriented project Foog, which has gained a solid reputation in the underground scene. In November 2013, he joined Styrism Inc. for more flexibility and wider activities. His discography includes albums and remix works for artists like Pizzicato Five and Tatsuya Ishii.
