Acid Cool
Over the four years of its existence, Acid Cool has undergone many changes. Like any other band, this living musical organism has evolved and grown until it has reached its most harmonious state to date.
Today, Acid Cool consists of four permanent members. Vocalist Ann Mimi is undoubtedly one of the most powerful voices in St. Petersburg. Her performing abilities are also exceptional: Mimi is one of the few artists who truly lives her songs over and over again, imbuing each with a unique character and mood, and, a significant asset to the band's image, always appears feminine and striking. Arman Sidorkin is an indispensable member of the band, composer and keyboardist. Acid Cool's rhythm section is the union of Alexander Potapov, a virtuoso drummer, and bassist Viktor Savich.
The changes have affected more than just the band's lineup—over the past year, Arman Sidorkin, in addition to composing and performing songs, has demonstrated his talents as a programmer. Acid Cool's sound has changed dramatically, becoming more electronic; the arrangements and compositional forms have become more thoughtful. At the same time, the live performance hasn't lost its liveliness, but rather has been enriched with new musical techniques. Acid Cool doesn't stick to a single musical style; overcoming stereotypes, they boldly combine jazz, funk, soul, techno, and house, imbuing new songs with rich harmonies, memorable melodies, and unexpected effects.
Acid Cool's music is now a complete puzzle, where every piece fits perfectly. They not only perform their roles expertly, but also skillfully complement each other, creating a friendly, cozy atmosphere at their concerts. Masters of their craft, Acid Cool always manage to deliver a performance that leaves the audience with a lasting boost of good humor and a feeling of complete freedom.
